At Elara Education Foundation, we believe that education is not a privilege—it is a right. Founded in Kenya, our mission is to bridge the education gap for marginalized communities, including children in rural areas, refugees, adult learners, and underserved youth.
Too many learners are left behind due to poverty, conflict, gender inequality, or systemic barriers. We exist to change that.
Through scholarships, infrastructure development, adult education programs, and policy advocacy, we are creating a future where every learner—no matter their background—has the tools, support, and opportunities to succeed.
But we can’t do it alone.
We rely on a growing community of donors, volunteers, and partners who share our passion for education equity. Together, we’re not just building classrooms—we’re building futures.
“At Elara, we don’t just teach students. We empower communities, spark dreams, and invest in long-term change.”

March 2019
Elara Education Foundation began with a simple but powerful goal: to provide education to those who need it the most. Since then, we have worked with local communities, government agencies, and international organizations to create lasting change.
Elara Education Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Kenya that promotes access to quality education for marginalized groups. We offer scholarships, build and equip schools, support adult learning programs, and advocate for education reform at national and international levels.
Our programs primarily benefit children from rural and low-income families, refugees, out-of-school youth, and adults seeking a second chance at education. We also support schools and communities in underserved areas by improving infrastructure and learning resources.
